If you are a qualified investor and approved by Stedman Capital to invest with us, you also have the option of using a self-directed retirement account to invest in the Stedman Capital Fund I, LP.  Typically, brokerage firms and IRA custodians will not hold privately placed hedge fund investments in your account with them.  However, by using a self-directed IRA, you can do so, all while preserving the tax-protected status of your retirement funds. The gains from your investment with Stedman Capital via your self-directed IRA will accrue tax-free.

The following accounts can be used to fund your self-directed IRA:

  • Traditional or Roth IRA
  • Former employer’s 401(k) or any employer’s plan (403b, 457, TSP, etc)
  • SEP or SIMPLE IRA
