The Pros Teach You How to Turn Small Investments Into Big Profits

We often hear people say, “I don’t have enough money to invest in real estate”. What is ‘enough’ money? Join Larissa Greene of Advanta IRA and Bill Cook, speaker and host of ‘What Box?’, as we explore creative deals that will inspire you to think ‘outside the box’—or even forget that a box exists—and put even a few thousand dollars to work in a big way.

Bill will discuss deals that he has done and walk you through the steps for each of those deals. Plus Larissa will explain how you can use some of your retirement dollars to invest.

About the Presenter

Bill Cook

Bill has made a living knocking on homeowners’ doors since he was a twelve-year-old in 1972. Because he was allergic to cutting grass, he took his mother’s Electrolux shampooer door-to-door and offered to shampoo the homeowner’s biggest or dirtiest room for $5.

Starting in 1978, Bill sold Electrolux vacuums door-to-door, which allowed him to pay for college and graduate debt-free. After graduation, he stayed with Electrolux because the earning potential was substantially higher than what any other company offered. Bill knocked on doors throughout the country, selling Electrolux vacuums door-to-door Electrolux until 1996—a total of 18 years.

Bill and his wife Kim began investing in real estate in 1995. Most of their investment properties are within a 5-mile circle of the Cartersville, Georgia Walmart. Their investment portfolio consists of single-family rental homes, a small mobile home park, notes, and options. They build their REI business squarely on the back of knocking on homeowners’ doors. These days, along with nine other courses they offer, Bill does a full-day, out-in-a-neighborhood, door-knocking class. He takes groups as large as 60 investors out to get face-to-face with homeowners and sellers.
