As I was signing up for another class related (this time) to my real estate career, I started to consider how many classes—on a wide range of topics—I had taken over the years. Some were related to educational degrees, some were related to the profession I was in at the time, and others were taken to learn more about my pastimes and hobbies. Going in to each of these classes, I knew it would take work, study, and practice to apply that knowledge correctly and effectively. So what is it that keeps me coming back for more? After some extended soul-searching (and reminiscing) I came to realize that no matter what the topic, the final reward I’m left with, beyond the obvious satisfaction of accomplishment, is more FREEDOM. And, this led me to attend a class on retirement planning and real estate investing.
Can you remember all the way back to when you learned to walk or count? Do you remember finally knowing how much candy you could buy after church on Sundays with the weekly ten cent allowance you got for sitting still that long? It was liberating not to rely on someone else to do it for you, or to require their permission to get what you wanted. How about when you learned to ride a bicycle. Didn’t your world expand exponentially as you learned who and what was around that next corner? Well, for me, those same results are what keep me moving forward today. I know my world can always expand further if I am willing to learn how…and I’m always up for the challenge.
My most recent class led to a designation of Self-Directed IRA Specialist, awarded by my attending Advanta IRA University (Advanta U). In my own real estate investing past, I have used my Roth IRA as a private lender to help fund the single-family rehab projects of other real estate investors. When I ran across Advanta IRA’s class about using retirement funds for private lending investing, I decided to learn more about it to potentially help expand my options in the future. I was so impressed with the knowledge being shared that I decided to complete the additional classes required to attain the Advanta IRA specialist designation.
Because of what I learned about Advanta IRA and the type of help they provide when using IRAs, 401(k)s, or other retirement vehicles as investment resources, I feel confident about referring other investors to them for help. You, too, can leverage their knowledge to help expand your own investment opportunities. Don’t let investment opportunities pass you by because you feel limited by your checking or savings account balance. Liberate yourself with the knowledge and professional guidance Advanta IRA can provide for your retirement account investments.
