Monte Smith, Education and Marketing Director for Advanta IRA Administration, LLC, is a former financial analyst and high school Spanish teacher. He’s a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of South Florida. In his current role, Monte strives to present the self-direction concept in an easy-to-understand format that instills confidence and empowerment. He leads weekly seminars and webinars on a variety of self-directed investment topics including foreign currency exchange, tax liens, hard money lending and mobile homes. He also speaks regularly to investor groups and offers complementary CE coursework to realtors.


Teresa-ChinTeresa Chin
is a marketing and client service specialist at Advanta IRA Administration, LLC. Much like the others on the team, Teresa brings a unique voice and perspective to Advanta. She earned a BA in English from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a concentration in marketing. Prior to Advanta, Teresa worked in retail banking and project management as an elected bank officer and branch manager with oversight of operations, service and sales. She later served as a regional banking liaison representing the interests of the bank’s 80 branches. Teresa then became a consultant to a variety of financial advisors to develop and implement strategic business and marketing plans designed to achieve growth and superior client service. Teresa also possesses years of experience in event management, marketing, community relations and sales with the Atlanta Braves professional baseball team.


Jack-CallahanJack M. Callahan
, J.D., CFP™, Managing Partner at Advanta IRA, established the company in 2003, Prior to that, Jack delivered specialized counsel to real estate investors, small business owners and real estate professionals on tax, legal and financial matters. As an industry expert, Jack is a frequent speaker on the topic of self-directed retirement plans and an accredited continuing education instructor for the Florida and Georgia Bar Associations, Florida and Georgia Real Estate Commissions, and The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his bachelor of science degree in finance and multinational business from Florida State University and his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law.


Ellen-PalmerEllen Palmer
 is the account and business manager for Advanta IRA. Ellen manages company and client accounting and financial matters. She further supports customer service issues, assists with investments and provides routine account management. Originally from New York, Ellen joined Advanta following an impressive career including accounting and bookkeeping consulting for a number of small businesses ranging from law offices to construction firms and import/export services.


Bo-KoernerBo Koerner
 is the director of IRA operations at Advanta IRA, bringing more than a decade of retirement planning and customer service experience to the company. Bo holds the distinct designation of Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) as well as the Self-Directed IRA Professional (SDIP) designation from the Retirement Industry Trust Association. Prior to joining Advanta, Bo provided invaluable support to clients at Transamerica Mutual Funds, an IRA administrator and mutual funds brokerage firm. In his current role, he assists clients with investment transactions including those in real estate, private placements, precious metals, promissory notes and private stock. Bo earned his degree in accounting from the University of South Florida.


Debbie-BlanarDebbie Blanar
 is director of business development for Advanta IRA.  She creates and develops new markets, partner programs as well as coordinates strategic and integrated public relations, communications and events for the Tampa Bay and Atlanta offices.  With over 25 years business and entrepreneurial experience that includes an award-winning  American Express Travel Services affiliate agency and one of the largest event planning companies in the Tampa Bay area, she understands the importance of strong client and community relationships.  Debbie’s personal management experience in commercial and retail property development enables her to better understand and serve Advanta IRA’s clients’ needs.


Beth-TriceBeth Trice
 is a client service specialist for Advanta IRA. A graduate of Florida State University, Beth has provided superior administrative support for more than a decade. At Advanta, Beth manages a broad range of general clerical and administrative duties, maintaining hard copy and electronic filing systems, invoicing clients and processing accounts receivables. She further projects a highly professional company image in all internal and external client interactions.


Alex-PernyAlex Perny
is a client service associate for Advanta IRA. Alex assists clients with investment transactions including those in real estate, private placements, promissory notes, precious metals and private stock. Alex also handles the safekeeping of original documentation for real estate, stocks, mortgages, secured and unsecured notes, and trusts. Alex earned his degree in business administration from Eckerd College in Saint Petersburg, Florida.


Larissa-GreeneLarissa Greene
is a client service associate at Advanta IRA. Larissa helps clients with investment transactions including those in real estate, private placements, promissory notes, precious metals and private stock. Prior to joining Advanta, Larissa worked for a real estate management company, providing excellent customer service. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida.


Paul-HutchingsPaul Hutchings
is a client service associate at Advanta IRA.  Paul supports clients with investment transactions including those in real estate, private placements, promissory notes, precious metals and private stock. Prior to joining Advanta, Paul was the Office Manager for a Gainesville, Florida, law firm while earning his degree in finance from the University of Florida. Paul assists our Spanish-speaking clients, as he is fluent in both speaking and writing that language. Paul has a diverse background and has lived in several Latin American countries.


Bunny-L'HeureuxBunny L’Heureux
is a client service associate for Advanta IRA, possessing over a decade of administrative and client service experience in retirement and financial planning. At Advanta, Bunny has a variety of duties which include: helping to process new accounts, processing daily bill payments, and assisting all departments in client services. Prior to joining Advanta, Bunny trained horses in Maine while pursuing a degree in psychology.


Nicole-LobmasterNicole Lobmaster
is a client service specialist at Advanta IRA. Nicole assists clients with their accounts receivable & payable trasactions. She also works closely with the account service team providing exceptional customer service and performing various other administrative duties. She worked in customer service for several years while attending school and earning a degree from the University of South Florida.
